We only see what scares us

When talking to a friend this morning I told her how scared I had been to do something because I was so afraid I was going to have the same negative results as the last time I had done it. The truth is the results of that decision have not been ANYTHING like the last time. She said to me, “Sometimes we only look for what scares us.” She is 100% right. I had only seen the scary possibilities and at first I was projecting that to my new experience. In the end the outcome has been nothing short of wonderful. I am grateful I didn’t let my fear stop me from reaping the benefits of the decision. Don’t be afraid. Go into things with eyes wide open but take the plunge. The outcome may bring you more happiness than you can imagine.
